Plastic-to-plastic sealing

Model 8SRP1216 eight-station plastic-to-plastic sealing machine has a new hot/cold sealing process—conventional heat plate followed by a water-cooled press—that allows high-volume production of blisters and clamshells.

According to the manufacturer, other comparable machines performing plastic-to-plastic sealing would typically rely on radio frequency or ultrasonic welding technology, which most often required hand insertion of the blisters or clamshells and cards. The 8SRP automates insertion of blisters and cards, and the Hot/Cold process provides a secure plastic-to-plastic seal.
