Kraft Foods scholarships honor PEF leadership

Northfield, IL-based Kraft Foods North America, a corporate member of the Packaging Education Forum (Arlington, VA), is establishing a pair of $2귔 scholarships in the names of the PEF’s most recent chairmen – James E. Scott, director of packaging engineering and design, Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY, and Thomas E. Hogue, director of packaging strategy, DuPont Co. (Wilmington, DE).

“The Scott-Hogue scholarships recognize the leadership of Jim Scott and Tom Hogue in bringing PEF under the administration of the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute,” said Donald Joswick, section manager for the Meals and Enhancers Divisions of Kraft and retiring member of the PEF Board. Kraft’s award, announced September 10, 2001 at the PEF 2001 Packaging Leadership Awards ceremonies held during Pack Expo Las Vegas 2001, will consist of two $2귔 annual scholarships, one in the name of James E. Scott, PEF current chairman; the other in the name of Thomas E. Hogue, PEF immediate past chairman.
