U.S. and Italy working together on new Norwegian-inspired wine bottle design

With help from Italian glass manufacturers, ultra modern wine bottle designs will soon join screw caps in the search for shelf impact in the U.S. wine market, according to a California-based package design firm.

Contemporary design wine bottles are being manufactured in Italy for Flora Springs Winery in St. Helena, California. Based on a bottle produced by Voga Italia wines, the California winery is seeking a trendier look—one originally based on a Norwegian water bottle designed by Voss luxury water bottler. The bottle is a 750-milliliter perfume-style cylindrical design.
