PEF 'kicks off' fundraising program

In mid-December, the Packaging Education Forum (PEF) will randomly select the winning ticket for its Super Bowl XXXVI drawing. Proceeds of the fundraising effort will be used to underwrite packaging scholarship programs at universities and colleges in the United States and Canada.

“What better way to support packaging education than by holding a random drawing for a pair of tickets to one of the most heralded sporting events,” says Ben Miyares, president of PEF. While no purchase is necessary, PEF is suggesting a $25 voluntary contribution per ticket or $100 for five tickets. PEF hopes to raise $50ꯠ with the drawing, which is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch Co., The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute, and Pactiv/Rollprint, a Global Strategic Partnership. The prize package includes two upper-level sideline tickets to Super Bowl XXXVI in New Orleans, February 3, 2002, a four-night stay at the Monteleone Hotel, and two tickets to the NFL Experience. Donations to the PEF can be made, and tickets for the Super Bowl drawing for packaging education can be acquired by faxing PEF at 703-524-8691. For more information contact PEF at 703/243-5717 or email [email protected].
