Speed and flexibility sought in equipment

A combination of speed with flexibility was cited as the most often selected approach to buying new equipment. Just over half of the 527 respondents said their companies choose equipment having both speed and flexibility, while another 35% report their companies now choose equipment with only flexibility in mind. Only 7% of the respondents felt their companies selected the highest-speed/limited flexibility equipment. The survey was conducted in late '96 and will be available to all registrants at the Forum.
