Magnetic Sensor Systems (MSS) has released a series of low-cost miniature electromagnets. Their E-66-38 Series Tubular Electromagnets is just 0.38 inches in diameter and 0.66 inches in length. To match the duty cycle and holding force requirements of a specific application, E-66-38 Series Electromagnets are available with 16 different windings to select from. Depending on the application, the duty cycle, and the required holding force, the electromagnets in this series can supply up to 26 oz. (7.2 N) of holding force and duty cycles can range from 100% (continuously on) to 10%.

This series of electromagnets is ideal for: office equipment, locks and switches, assembly, pick and place, parts feeder, medical equipment, door chimes, vent controls (hold open, hold close), security systems, failsafe brakes, research equipment, and remote hold/release applications. The E-66-38 Series of electromagnets have a centered 4-40 UNC-2B threaded hole in the backside for easy integration into new and existing applications.

All of the electromagnets manufactured by Magnetic Sensor Systems are “Made in America. All MSS electromagnets are immediately available off-the-shelf in sample quantities and OEM quantities for Just-In-Time deliveries, and can begin shipping within four weeks.

If an electromagnet with greater holding force, or other duty cycle is required, the Magnetic Sensor Systems sales team is ready to help.
