The C6915 measures just 47 x 157 x 116 mm/1.9 x 6.1 x 4.6 in. (W x H x
D). Because of the low processor power dissipation of Atom™ processors,
Beckhoff’s Industrial PCs are more compact and moderately priced. With two independent Ethernet interfaces, the C6915 is suitable
as a compact central processing unit for an EtherCAT® control system. The aluminum housing is equipped with a 3 1⁄2-in. Beckhoff motherboard
for 1.1 GHz or 1.6 GHz Intel® Atom™ processors. Passive cooling is
achieved through the PC’s aluminum surface and enables operation at
temperatures up to 55 °C (131 °F). The C6915 features a flash disk,
resulting in a controller with no moving parts that requires no fan.
Optionally, a hard disk or a second Compact Flash card can be
integrated.
