Lambdapor EPS is an innovative resin material that contains graphite particles that reflect heat and deliver 20% better insulation performance than traditional white EPS – suitable for applications such as:
• Buildings with a high standard level of energy saving (e.g. low-energy houses, passive houses)
• Buildings in which optimal insulation within a limited space is needed (e.g. in the upgrading of older buildings)
“This is a great opportunity for us to enhance our construction product offerings to our customers,” stated John Feraco, Expandable Styrenics business director for Nova Chemicals. “As the construction market continues to grow, it’s important for us to be able to deliver materials that drive cost and energy efficiency.”
“We are pleased to be able to bring our innovative Lambdapor resins to the North American market,” stated Christian Buchinger, head of business development for Sunpor. “Lambdapor resins create new possibilities on the building site by offering a myriad of application possibilities in warmth insulation and footfall muffling.”
Lambdapor EPS will be available to the North American market in the second quarter. Nova Chemicals will market and sell the resins, along with providing technical service support.
