AIMCAL R2R & SPE FlexPackCon change conference venue

Repairs to the original venue, the hurricane-damaged Naples Grande Beach Resort, are taking longer than expected and will not be completed in time.

The AIMCAL R2R (roll-to-roll) Conference/SPE FlexPackCon will take place as scheduled Oct. 15-18, 2017, but the venue has changed to the Saddlebrook Resort and Spa in nearby Tampa.

Repairs to the original venue, the hurricane-damaged Naples Grande Beach Resort, are taking longer than expected and will not be completed in time.

Since Saddlebrook is within driving distance of the Fort Myers airport, attendees who already have flight reservations don’t need to make any changes.

“The Saddlebrook resort is a fabulous place that everyone will enjoy,” says Craig Sheppard, executive director of AIMCAL. “Its reservation system will be up soon, and we will continue to provide updates to attendees and prospective attendees. We thank everyone for their patience as we cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.”

In support of the first responders and the many individuals who are working to bring back areas hurt by Hurricane Irsama, AIMCAL and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE, Bethel, CT), organizer of SPE FlexPackCon, will donate $500 to the Irma Hurricane Relief Fund.
