U.S. Tsubaki expands in-house capabilities with addition of state-of-the-art laser cutting machine

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC has announced the addition of a state-of-the-art laser cutting machine to its Holyoke, MA manufacturing facility.

This laser machine, along with the new CNC Brake Press and Mill, makes up the company’s Laser-Express capability.

Holyoke plant general manager Chuck Monty enthusiastically states that “employees and managers are working together, in all departments, to ensure that Holyoke is running at its optimal productivity. The more efficient our processes are, the more productive we can be and the new LASER-EXPRESS capability is a great addition, giving us a wide range of new possibilities.”

Laser-Express is designed to aid in fulfilling tough made-to-order requests significantly faster than traditional stamping and bending processes. With the ability to create complex bent attachments and the flexibility to cut a variety of plates and attachment contours on standard ANSI or custom sizes, Laser-Express provides great flexibility the company’s engineers.

Monty also says, “every job will be assessed based on its complexity and size, but LASER-EXPRESS gives us options we previously did not have.” He continues, “And where it can be utilized, it will significantly reduce lead times and will reduce or eliminate special tooling costs.”
