“Our sales for the new Xtreme® Metal Detector have exceeded our forecast, and we have decided to double our manufacturing capacity this summer,” said Shuttleworth. “This will shorten lead times and help meet the growing demand in the food, plastics and other processing industries. Plans include expanding the footprint for our plant as well as dedicating a significant amount of space to metal detection.”
According to Shuttleworth, the new Xtreme Metal Detector surpasses previous units and competitive models alike with enhanced features, improved sensitivity, intuitive operation and exceptional reliability. Made for light industry applications, including chemical, food processing, packaging, textiles, pharmaceuticals, plastics and rubber, the Xtreme Metal Detector has been completely re-designed and features a very user-friendly interface. Other highlights include full QWERTY keyboard, robust auto set-up, dedicated reject log, and vivid display.
“We modeled our interface after today’s stylish and advanced smartphones,” Shuttleworth pointed out.
“We have also noticed a spike in sales of the new Eriez Metal Loss Monitor in the recycling industry. The demand for this technology will also be addressed by our plant expansion.”
