New dual hardness vacuum cups launched by Singapore-based Flexy Vacuum Cups Pte., Ltd.

Flexy Vacuum Cups, a new Singapore-based sales and marketing company specializing in flexible vacuum cups made from casted polyurethane, has launched its products internationally.

The owner of Flexy Vacuum Cups Pte Ltd, Klas Öhman, started the company this year after more than 15 years working with PIAB, one of Europe’s leading vacuum technology companies.

Öhman says that by manufacturing in low-cost countries and utilizing a superior MDI "CombiFlex" compound, Flexy Vacuum Cups is able to produce longer-lasting, more resilient dual hardness vacuum cups at a more competitive price than other brands.  In particular, his manual production process enables the company to produce dual hardness cups with a much softer lip.

“Dual hardness bellow cups are unique,” Öhman explains. “The combination of a firm bellow and body combined with a softer lip down to 30 shore makes the cups stable and durable with excellent sealing properties. These cups are highly flexible and are especially useful on uneven surfaces.”

Currently, two families of cups are available--1.5 and 2.5 bellow, each with up to six sizes. Three more families, including a “Flexy friction cup,” will be added soon as the company gears up its production capacity.

Flexy Vacuum Cups’ products are designed for use in the packaging, automotive, printing, medical and food industries, and many other manufacturing situations that have pick and place processes.

“We are finding great interest in our products, which are more stable, durable and are sold at a highly competitive price,” Öhman says.

“Our business model is based on the fact that we have the suppliers and our buyers have the customers. It’s a win-win situation for everyone,” he concludes.
