Eagle Flexible Packaging awarded AIB Superior rating

Eagle Flexible Packaging, Inc. announces that they have been awarded the Superior rating from AIB International (American Institute of Baking) following an audit conducted at the beginning of March at their facility in Batavia, IL.

The Batavia facility is Eagle’s headquarters and houses their production lines that service the food segment of the packaging industry.

“With more than 80% of our packaging designated for food applications, making provisions to provide safe products to our customers is not just good practice, and the right thing to do, it’s critical to the success of our long-term business strategy,” according to Frank Vacca, President of Eagle Flexible Packaging.

There are a variety of different food safety programs that companies can choose and implement as part of their good manufacturing process. However, Tom Tyndall, Vice President/General Manager of Eagle Flexible Packaging explained that “Eagle chose AIB International because they are one of the leading authorities in the area of food safety and as we continue to create a world-class manufacturing environment this is just the first step."
