Charles Leung joins YFYJupiter as director of brand development, Asia

YFYJupiter, Inc., a global leader in providing integrated packaging solutions, has announced the hiring of Charles Leung as Director of Brand Development, Asia.

In that capacity Leung will oversee the integrity of all original YFYJupiter design and creative projects and work with new and existing clients on any creative needs.  In addition, Leung will coordinate design work among all of the YFYJupiter offices worldwide and be responsible for managing the YFYJupiter brand in Asia.

Leung joins YFYJupiter from OfficeMax, Inc., a leader in business-to-business office solutions and retail office products.  As Manager of Creative Brand Development and Brand Strategy, Leung was responsible for developing, directing and managing brand products and packaging policies, procedures and procurement related to all of the company’s private and seasonal brands.

In his more than 10 years with OfficeMax, Leung is credited with leading internal and external team efforts in the execution, production and strategic brand positioning of all private brands.  Leung directed brand development on more than 4,000 SKUs annually as brand equity values increased from $6 million to $1 billion and he oversaw the visual ID for the OfficeMax private label line in packaging, signage and collateral.  Leung proposed and developed Sharper Image Office Furniture, the company’s private label contemporary furniture brand, and the number-one selling furniture collection for OfficeMax.  Leung is a fluent speaker and writer of Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.

Leung, a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago - UIC with a degree in visual communication, has earned numerous industry awards, including the RACI (Retail Award for Creativity, Innovation and Excellence), the PL Buyer 2009 Private Label Packaging Award and the Communicator Award for excellence in packaging.

YFYJupiter, Inc. has offices in more than 20 locations throughout North America and Asia, utilizing 23 fully owned YFY printing plants in the greater China region to service the local OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) community.  YFYJupiter operates as part of the paper and packaging division of YFY, Inc., a publicly-listed Taiwanese company that employs more than 10,000 people worldwide.
