NYCOA® Names New President and CEO

Gregory J. Biederman has been named President and CEO of Nylon Corporation of America (NYCOA).

Biederman comes to NYCOA with 27 years of chemical industry business management experience, most recently at INVISTA, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, and before that at the DuPont Company.

“NYCOA’s competitive advantages are its strong customer relationships, its outstanding innovation capability, and an experienced employee base,” said Biederman. “Our primary focus will be to maximize those competitive advantages to help our customers grow their businesses and, in turn, sustain the growth of our company.”

Biederman joined DuPont in 1980 and held a number of positions, primarily in the company’s flagship Fibers and Intermediates Department. He became vice president for specialty intermediates at INVISTA in 2004, when Koch Industries purchased DuPont’s fibers and intermediates business. Biederman is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
