Industrial Dynamics/filtec: Laser printer for high-speed coding applications

The Lasetec is a new laser printer from Industrial Dynamics (Torrance, CA). It produces precise text, bar codes and graphics on packages with a print quality said to be superior to other high-speed coding devices on the market.

A laser beam "writes" directly onto HDPE, PET, PVC, paperboard, glass or coated metal. No ink is necessary. The Lasetec offers a range of fonts and print sizes from 1 mm to 50 mm. An optional servo-controlled printhead automatically adjusts when there is a production line changeover.
