Alcohol hearings cut

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms cut the number of public hearings on health claims and health-related statements on alcoholic beverages and advertising from five to two after too few people requested to testify.

Hearings in Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas were scrapped and the hearings in Washington, DC, and San Francisco were trimmed to two days. The agency will receive written comments until June 30.
