Bilcare Research Hires William Sharpless as Director of Business Development

Bilcare Research Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of blister packaging solutions, has hired William Sharpless as the Director of Business Development, Healthcare Packaging.

With a history of implementing growth and value for key packaging industry players over his decades-long career, Mr. Sharpless brings to Bilcare both a respected reputation and extensive high-level pharma contacts.

In his new role, Mr. Sharpless will be responsible for maintaining, developing and establishing business relationships and sales within the related pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging sectors, relevant to the production of both bottom-web and top-web materials and structures.

Prior to joining Bilcare, Mr. Sharpless served for seven years as Business Development Manager, Healthcare Packaging at Winpak Heat Seal Packaging and, before that, four years as Director of Marketing, Healthcare Packaging at Reynolds Packaging. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sharpless was a Business Development Executive at Honeywell.

Mr. Sharpless is a former board member and President of the Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council, a not-for-profit trade association created to promote the sort of unit-dose packaging features proven to help individuals take medications properly. He is a graduate of Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia. A father of three, he resides in Midlothian, VA with his wife.
