Irvine will lead the organization's initiatives to support packaging and processing suppliers in growing their business.

"PMMI has become the leading resource for the entire packaging and processing supply chain by evolving to better serve our members as the industry has changed. My role will be to continue strengthening our position and staying in front of the issues that may impact our industry, our members, and their customers."
In recent years Irvine served various roles on PMMI's Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Committee. Toronto-based Plexpack is a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions, founded by Irvine's father more than 40 years ago. Plexpack's Emplex Bag and Pouch and Damark Shrinkwrap and Bundling Systems are in operation for more than 4,000 customers worldwide.
PMMI provides the internationally recognized PACK EXPO trade shows, additional regional exhibitions, business intelligence, education, and training to help its members connect with customers and thrive in today's changing environment. Resources also include award-winning magazines, e-newsletters, webinars, international sales and marketing support, export advice, and sales agent recruiting. PMMI has nearly 500 members in North America.
