SteriPack: Medical pouches

PeelVent and TearVent pouches consist of breathable vents and film-to-film materials that lower costs.

SteriPack has introduced PeelVentTM, a vented chevron peelable pouch, and TearVentTM, a vented linear tear pouch.
PeelVent comprises breathable vents weld-sealed to various film-to-film materials, making it a low-cost, high-quality pouching option for medical device OEMs.

PeelVent and TearVent replace standard chevron peel and linear tear pouches with film-to-film materials and breathable vents. Efficient use of breathable materials, such as paper or Tyvek®, and improved, consistent seal strengths, as well as high-resolution printing, result in lower-cost alternatives for medical device packaging.

The vent provides airflow for EtO sterilization and outgassing. Various sized vents can be positioned at optimum locations to ensure airflow for sterilization processing. Vents can also be used for irradiation sterilization, eliminating the need for altitude package testing and mitigating issues caused by vacuum packaging regular film-to-film pouches.

SteriPack has an ISO 17025−certified package testing lab and provides this service on contract.
