New acquisition expands MULTIVAC’s reach in baking equipment industry

MULTIVAC has acquired Germany-based FRITSCH Group, which develops and manufactures baking equipment, especially for the handling and processing of raw dough. FRITSCH Group’s German manufacturing facility will remain open indefinitely and will be known as FRITSCH Bakery Technologies; FRITSCH equipment will be sold through MULTIVAC’s worldwide network.

 

Conagra Brands sells direct store delivery snacks business

Conagra Brands, Inc. is selling its Direct Store Delivery snacks business, including the Tim’s Cascade Snacks, Hawaiian Snacks, Erin’s, Snyder of Berlin and Husman’s brands, to Utz Quality Foods, LLC. Subject to customary closing conditions, the transaction is expected to be completed before the end of the year. No financial terms were disclosed.

 

Water companies to merge

Alkaline Water Company Inc., which produces premium bottled alkaline drinking water sold under the brand name Alkaline88, and AQUAhydrate, Inc., which manufactures and distributes premium bottled water, have entered into a plan of merger. Under the agreement, Alkaline will acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock and preferred stock of AQUAhydrate in an all-stock transaction.
