Companies

Berry Global, Inc. announced its official participation in Amazon’s Packaging Support and Supplier network (APASS) program. It also announced that it joined the Alliance to End Plastic Waste as a founding member.

Duravant LLC acquired Wulftec International, Inc. The partnership will strengthen Duravant’s end-of-line portfolio of packaging solutions and extend the company’s integration and automation capabilities.

Polypack, Inc. announced the acquisition of a French end-of-line packaging manufacturer, also called Polypack, in December 2018.

TricorBraun acquired Pacific Bag, LLC. It will combine Pacific Bag with its existing flexibles business, Taipak, to create TricorBraun Flex, a new business unit focused on flexible packaging.

Atlas Holdings LLC acquired Saxco International, LLC.

Bosch Rexroth expanded its capabilities on the West Coast with the re-opening of its updated facility in Pleasanton, CA.

Epson announced Grimco opened its Epson Certified Solution Center in Los Angeles providing customers with the opportunity to experience Epson equipment, engage with product experts, and test run print samples on Epson printing equipment.

Krones acquired Germany-based MHT Holding AG.

tna opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Melbourne to support the global demand for its food packaging offerings.

Berlin Packaging opened a 231,000 sq-ft warehouse in Ontario, CA.

Antares Vision and ALP.I SPAC reached an agreement for the two companies to merge. The merger aims to provide support for and accelerate the growth path undertaken by Antares Vision from its inception to today.

Greif, Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Caraustar Industries, Inc.

People

Harpak-ULMA Packaging, LLC, appointed Travis Dosch Southwest Regional Sales Manager, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas; and Alicia Shoulders Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Corey Calla was named President of SencorpWhite.

Chris Gilmor was named Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Canada, for Uhlmann Packaging Systems, LP.

Chroma Color Corp. added the following personnel: Mike Pisch, Chief Financial Officer; Angie Silver, Sales Administrator; and Aldis Jatnieks, IT Engineer.

Michael Orye was appointed Executive Vice President, Fiber Packaging for Huhtamaki.

Woon Keat Moh was appointed Vice President, Asia for PolyOne Corp.

UPM Raflatac appointed Tim Kirchen Senior Vice President, Americas Region and Timo Kekki Vice President, Global Films SBU.

Achievements

DS Smith was named U.K. Packaging Company of the Year at the U.K. Packaging Awards.

Rockwell Automation was named Overall IoT Company of the Year 2019 by IoT Breakthrough.
