Pearson Packaging Systems formed a business unit dedicated to complex integrated systems. Ryan McCart was named Vice President of Systems Solutions.

Pro Mach, Inc. acquired EPI Labelers, manufacturer of labeling products for packaging and promotional needs, to expand its labeling and coding business and strengthen its flexible packaging capabilities.

MG America expanded its filling division through a strategic partnership with Italy-based Comas, a manufacturer of filling and closing solutions.

Amcor Rigid Plastics announced a new business platform to facilitate small-volume production for emerging beverage companies who seek to reach the market more cost effectively and established high-volume suppliers who want to explore niche markets.

Weber Packaging Solutions launched Bestcode’s Series 8 continuous ink jet into the North American marking and coding sector.

Printronix agreed to sell its Thermal/AIDC product line to TSC Auto ID Technology Co., Ltd.

Hitachi America, Ltd. will acquire L.A. Supply Corp. to form a new subsidiary that will operate as Label House.

Arrowhead Systems, Inc. is leasing a second location. The 25,000 sq ft of production space is located in Oshkosh, WI.

A global partnership between Mocon, Inc. and Particle Measuring Systems resulted in a new microbial testing technology for cleanrooms.

Japan-based Komori and Israel-based Highcon announced the formation of a strategic partnership between their two companies. Komori will be selling and supporting the Highcon™ Euclid digital cutting and creasing solutions in the Japanese market.

Processing Technologies Intl. LLC announced a $10 million plant expansion at its Aurora, IL, headquarters.

Sun Chemical entered into an agreement to acquire certain assets and liabilities of Canada-based Colmar Inks Corp.

People

John Malette was appointed Sector Development Manager for Domino North America.

Toray Plastics (America), Inc. hired two business managers: Greg Clements for Torayfan Div.’s Strategic Alliances Group and Chris Glowacki for the Lumirror Div.

Dean Dalesandro was named Vice President Life Science North America for Rea Jet.

Chris Button was appointed Sales Manager for UK-based Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury.
