Norwegian dairy product manufacturer Hennig Olsen Is has launched its premium ice cream brand, Inspira, in an equally premium package.

Injection-molded by RPC Superfos, the unique tamper-evident package features a wave-like effect on the lid’s rim. In-mold labeling on all four sides and on the base deliver high-impact graphics, and a transparent section on the base makes the marbled ice cream visible to consumers.

While Hennig Olsen Is already offers many types of quality ice cream for various segments, the company wanted to launch a new series that had to be different. Inspira is ideal for those extra-special, indulgent moments, as purchase director Carl-Christian Langfeldt explains:

“Inspira ice cream caters to the premium segment and here we need an exclusive look – new and exciting packaging. We are absolutely happy with the result, not least because of the waves on the rim and the transparent base that makes it possible to see our marbled ice cream.”

Hennig Olsen Is has worked with RPC Superfos for over 20 years, using standard containers as well as bespoke packs for certain products.

“RPC Superfos excels in design development and we know where to go when we need skilled people who can give us a creative packaging result,” says Carl-Christian Langfeldt. “They know how to combine tradition with renewal. We have had a brilliant cooperation on this project which was difficult due to a lot of time pressure.”
