Private label brands have focused on traditional flavors and offered
lower priced alternative. Industry is responding now with "innovative
flavor combinations, convenient pack formats, targeted marketing and
year-round sales growth." Health conscious consumers will turn away
from cheap, mass produced brands and pay premiums for assurances that
the ice cream comes from one farm/one producer, contains fresh
ingredients including eggs, whole fruits, herbs and spices, etc.
