IoPP forms Sustainable Packaging Task Group

The newly formed group will meet in late January.

Recognizing the intense interest in sustainable packaging by both the packaging community and the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) membership, IoPP's Technical Council recently approved the formation of a Sustainable Packaging Task Group. This newly formed group will hold its first meeting January 24-25, 2007 in Holland, MI at Herman Miller, Inc.

Meeting attendees will hear from industry experts from Herman Miller, who will discuss the challenges and opportunities that sustainable packaging presents.

The meeting will also break out into three working sessions, which include:

* Definition of sustainable packaging and other related terms.
* Metrics – how sustainable packaging is measured.
* Education – how to educate the packaging community about sustainable packaging.
