Packaging World magazine launched its new VendorConnect request-enabled online supplier directory today.
The directory allows packaging buyers to create one request and send it automatically to multiple suppliers in a given product category.
A request can range from a simple question to a complex request-for-quote (RFQ). Buyers can attach a word processing document, CAD file, image or any other computer file to their request.
Responses can be sent to buyers via e-mail, or they can be managed directly on Packaging World's VendorConnect Web site.
For privacy protection, the buyer's e-mail address is never revealed to suppliers. Buyers can even post requests anonymously.
