The European Commission is offering a first prize of 6,000 euros to the winner of their EU-wide organic logo competition. All European citizens 18 or older that are registered at an institution of higher education for art or design based in the EU Member States may participate, according to the competition rules. Logos must be uploaded onto the competition's website, www.ec.europa.eu/organic-logo, by June 25. In addition to the prize money, the winner's logo will appear on all packaged organic food products starting in July 2010.
