Nutrigenomics--food of the future...

Perhaps ten years from now, consumers will be able to purchase food personalized for their genotype—this according to a speaker at a Paris conference last year.

However, science, industry and academia will need to work together to create safe, satisfying personalized nutrition. Functionalized food could lower certain health risks, but consumers need to weigh the odds, and consider the difference between adequate nutrition and optimal nutrition, one source says.
