In Brazil, a drunk-driving law passed last year could have a major negative impact on beer sales.

The law—said to be the most strict in Latin America—is necessary because Brazil has some of the most dangerous roads in the world. Brazilian brewers are taking steps to combat the possible affects of the law by shifting focus to low-alcohol alternatives and soft drinks.
