Other chocolate-maker news--this time in China...

Nestle—not just a chocolate maker—is investing almost $10 million in an R & D center in Beijing.

The focus will be on health and wellness-targeting growth and development, ageing, and weight management. Research on traditional Chinese ingredients such as lotus seeds and mung beans will benefit Chinese consumers, as well as consumers in the rest of the world. Researchers intend to go beyond health and wellness, to include "every stage of product development—from the selection of ingredients to the choice of packaging material."
