The system is comprised of two security technologies and an optical verification system. According to the manufacturer, "a forge-proof marking on the product or the packaging can be checked for authenticity using a standard camera phone, PDA or scanner." What's more, "the customer can be given important additional information such as an expiration date, dosage or a personalized hyperlink." The system will be available in early 2009.
