A recent survey of UK manufacturers concludes that the potential cost savings to manufacturers to source cheaper sub components are absolutely huge.

Manufacturers have relied on local support networks to supply their sub components, materials and packaging, but out sourcing this activity to China can produce instant cost out benefits. "The opportunity to take cost out is one for the many and not the few" says Bob Bob Richards MBA. "How many manufacturers ship their goods in some form of packaging, for example? Can this be sourced cheaper in China? In many cases Yes!"
