Many mass grocery retailers (MGRs) in the United Kingdom are developing outlet formats to take advantage of the growth. Additionally, retailers will consider organic and fair trade products, and local and regional produce. Retailer competition will also focus on environmental friendliness, wind turbines, environmentally-friendly grocery bags and replacement of harmful packaging materials. Government and manufacturers are focusing on convenience food health issues, which may include some junk food advertising bans and nutrition policies.
