With the purchase of Swift & Co., JBS S.A. is now the world's largest meat processor.

The JBS Swift Group will gain access to global markets as a result of the acquisition. Marketing to Asia, will be especially important because imports of beef are strictly regulated there as a result of fears of mad cow disease.
