Amcor Ltd has announced a $6.8 billion all-stock deal to purchase Bemis Company Inc., which allows it to expand the sales of plastic packaging in the Americas. Subject to approval by both firms’ regulators and shareholders, the transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year.
