Evian brings high fashion to bottled water

Fashion designers know that a good collection combines the reinvention of ideas with underlying signature qualities.

Pw 6049 Evian Limitededition

Evian Natural Spring Water reflects those ideals with new additions to its designer collection.

Evian turned to internationally known French designer Jean Paul Gaultier to create two exclusive packages for 2009: the Evian Prêt-à-Porter bottle and the Evian Haute Couture bottle.

The Evian Prêt-à-Porter, or ready-to-wear, bottle displays a style that is both classic and modern. Adorned with a pattern of interlocking snowflakes, the bottle recalls the crisp, icy mountaintops of the French Alps, from which Evian natural spring water is derived. The majestic blue of the oversized logo and the understated print of the designer’s name offer a subtle reminder of a stylish mariner, which might be found on the shores of Lake Geneva, which the town of Evian borders.

The Evian Haute carafe-design bottles will be released as a limited edition worldwide.

Each Evian bottle serves as a reminder that pure water is rare and precious, a thing to be celebrated.

Evian did not disclose information on vendors for the glass bottles.

“Jean Paul Gaultier has consistently pushed the boundaries of fashion,” says Jeff Caswell, vice president of marketing for Evian North America. He is revolutionary in his craft, yet always maintains an air of elegance and class in his designs. In this regard, Gaultier was the perfect fit for Evian.”
