The Kason MOB-DD-SS dual-drive CENTRI-SIFTER centrifugal sifter allows independent speed control of the feed screw and helical paddle assembly. The speed of the variable feed screw is entered remotely or at the control panel to feed material into the horizontal screen cylinder. The rotation speed of the helical paddles can be adjusted to accelerate material against and through apertures in the screen cylinder. On-size particles discharge through a flanged outlet to any downstream process, while oversize particles are ejected to gravity discharge through a secondary outlet for disposal or reprocessing. Capable of rates up to 30 tons per hr, the unit is suitable for dry or moist food or dairy products, including those containing soft agglomerates.
