Actuators move loads within a two-dimensional plane

Engineered for medium- and heavy-duty X-Z or X-Y motion applications, Bimba IntelliAxis electric linear robot actuators employ a two-axis system. A single continuous belt serpentines around the two axes, eliminating the need for a motor in the Z- or Y-axis while driving a pair of coordinated motors in the X-axis. The actuators are configured for pick-and-place, sorting, loading, assembly and other material handling tasks in the food and beverage industry. A three-axis gantry can be created with the addition of a single-axis actuator for applications requiring three-dimensional motion.
