Foster uses HP Indigo digital presses to produce small quantites: 10 or 20 pouches as a marketing trial; 5,000 pouches/bags for quick restocking; or 30kg of printed film for fast order fulfillment. The service requires no origination costs, no cylinder costs, no minimum order quantities and provides fast turn around times. Other benefits include: reduced stockholding; less substrate waste during printing; less printed waste; and the advantages of variable data printing. The HP Indigo press ws4500 can handle a wide range of substrates ranging in thickness from 12µ to 350µ, making it suitable for labels, flexible packaging and shrink sleeve applications. The press can be integrated with a range of finishing solutions to provide a complete end-to-end solution.
