Sealed Air Corporation: Inflatable cushion system

Sealed Air (Saddle Brook, NJ) has introduced the Fill-Air(TM) inflatable packaging system for fast high-volume void-fill applications. The free-standing, mobile, 110-v unit produces 5 cu" of air-filled packaging material/min by injecting air into a special tubular film.

For use, an operator tears off the desired number of cushions and inserts into a case. One 10" roll of tubing yields up to 375 cu' of dunnage, equal to 28 14 cu' bags of loose fill, says the company.
