Amcor Flexibles acquires Chinese packaging company

Amcor has officially completed the acquisition of Zhongshan Tiancai Packaging Company.

Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific has completed its acquisition of Zhongshan Tiancai Packaging Company, expanding Amcor’s footprint in China to a total of ten manufacturing plants.

Located in the Guangdong province of Southern China, the acquisition consists of one manufacturing plant specialising in printing and manufacturing multi-layer films for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical end markets. The acquisition also includes approximately 390 skilled employees that will join Amcor and bring with them strong packaging expertise to benefit customers in the South China region and beyond. Together with the existing plants, Amcor continues to broaden its capabilities to serve leading local and multinational customers.

Ralf K. Wunderlich, President of Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific, says: “The acquisition is testament to our commitment to Amcor’s growth in China. As a market leader in flexibles packaging in China, it is also an opportunity for us to further build our innovation expertise and product offering for our customers.”
