Ensolid, from Enso Intl. (Stamford, CT), is a paper-based, aluminum-free peelable lidding material prepared with a barrier coating that permits easy peeling without tearing.

Effective for dairy applications, such as yogurt cups, soft cheese and ice cream containers. Ensolid is based on the company's Lumiflex-paper and a multilayer extrusion coating. The lid is said to provide a barrier against oxygen, water vapors and odors while offering excellent printing capabilities.
