CourtGard(TM) UV-protective film from Courtaulds Performance Films (Martinsville, VA) is now available for use in see-through packaging for medical/surgical devices and pharmaceuticals that can be damaged by UV light.

Made of a colorless PET impregnated with UV absorbers. Effect-ively blocks 97% of UV radiation on a wavelength band from 290 to 400 nanometers; that, says the manufacturer, is where glass, cellophane and standard plastic films are UV-transparent.
