One is an integrated stretch blow molding and plasma coating system, developed jointly by SIG Corpoplast and Schott HiCotec. The other, from MicroCoating Technologies, is a flame-based deposition process; an “open-atmosphere” process, it’s said to eliminate the expense of vacuum chambers and curing ovens required for other thin-film deposition processes.
