International agreements

—Pactiv Corp.’s (Lake Forest, IL) Sengewald business unit is joining forces with Rollprint Packaging Products, Inc. (Addison, IL) to announce a global strategic partnership for medical packaging.

—Solvay (Brussels, Belgium) has signed a memorandum of understanding with BP (London, England) where Solvay will transfer its polypropylene business to BP and BP will transfer its engineering polymers business to Solvay. —Port Townsend Paper Corp. (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) has entered into an agreement with Crown Packaging Ltd. (Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada) to purchase the assets of Crown’s traditional packaging divisions. —Klöckner Pentaplast (Gordonsville, VA) has purchased Alloyd Co.’s (De Kalb, IL) sole rigid film calender line for an undisclosed sum. —SoftPac Industries (Plymouth, MN) has entered into a stock purchase agreement with Hensen Packaging Concept GmbH (Bremen, Germany). —The Interroll Group (Sant’Antonio, Switzerland) has acquired SIPA Roller SA (Roche-sur-Yon, France). —MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG (Augsburg, Germany) has signed an agreement with Océ Group (Venlo, the Netherlands) that will give Océ the global rights to market MAN Roland’s color digital printing systems. —Exxon Quimica Ltda., the Brazilian affiliate of ExxonMobil Chemical Co. (Macedon, NY), has signed a strategic supply agreement with Polo (São Paulo, Brazil) in which Polo will produce biaxially oriented polypropylene film on its mfg. line in Montenegro, Brazil.
