New packaging guide

The Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council, part of the Flexible Packaging Assn., has produced a packaging guide for medical products that is under review by the American Society for Testing and Materials.

It should be available for purchase from ASTM later this year. The document, Guide for Design and Evaluation of Primary Packaging for Medical Products, will help companies make more informed decisions on the test methods used to design and evaluate packages for medical products.
