Standards revised for flexible

The Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council (SPMC) of the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) is revising current standards and identifying areas where standard test methods are needed for flexible packaging intended for medical use.

The idea is to communicate sterile packaging requirements to purchasers and suppliers of medical devices. At the same time, SPMC is working with the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) to have its test methods incorporated into some ASTM packaging testing standards.
