Boxed benefits

A colorful box complements EcoTraction’s innovative stand-up pouches. Earth Innovations vp of operations Marc Appleby says the self-merchandising boxes hold six 5-lb bags.

Pw 5588 Retail Box Display

The 40#ECT RSC white corrugated boxes, from Wasatch Container (www.wasatchcontainer.com), are flexo-printed in a three-color scheme picked up from the bag.

The box features a pop-out, perforated window in the front to display the contents. The window section carries promotional copy that can be used as standalone, point-of-purchase signage to highlight EcoTraction’s three key benefits along with the logo. Retailers can remove the sign and place it near the front of the store separate from the product display, Appleby suggests.

“The boxes can be stacked in different patterns to create a self-merchandising display,” he adds. “Under the short timelines, we managed to get it all coordinated so that the boxes arrived at the co-packer at the same time as the bags. We’ve had a lot of good feedback about the box as well.”
