Film details

Torayfan® PC1 is a 50-ga metallized biaxially oriented film that is treated on one side with a high corona surface treatment to better accept printing inks and sealants.

On the other side is Toray’s proprietary ultra-high surface energy (UHSE) treatment to better accept metallizing. The combination of UHSE and Toray’s advanced metallizing technology produces a film that resists cracking, crazing, and delamination during high temperature extrusion and adhesive coating, which in turn ensures its ability to act as an effective moisture barrier. The high corona surface treatment accepts water-based inks and adhesives as well as cold-seal, heat-activated sealants. The film can be used as the outer or inner web of a lamination.
